Evaluation on Basic Public Services
Cupore evaluates basic public services related to cultural services in Finnish municipalities in 2017. The assignment of Ministry of Education and Culture focuses on availability, accessibility and resources of municipal cultural services. The main theme for the evaluation is equality.
The evaluation utilizes data from a survey that is sent to Finnish municipalities at the end of 2017. Analysis on the availability of cultural services is conducted by Statistics Finland. The evaluation is carried out nationally and regionally based on the respective regions of the Regional State Administrative Agencies. The evaluation will be published in spring 2018. The evaluation is carried out by researches Minna Ruusuvirta and Vappu Renko and evaluation group from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Regional art museums and their operations related to municipal cultural activities
In 2022–2024, Center for Cultural Policy Research Cupore is carrying out a regional development task assigned by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The task focuses on regional arts museums and their operations related to municipal cultural activities and interaction with professional artists and amateurs.

Oulu2026 evaluation research
Oulu will be European Capital of Culture in 2026 along with 39 other municipalities from Northern Finland. Oulu2026 is a long-term, culture-based urban development project, the aim of which is cultural climate change. The purpose of the project of the Oulu2026 project is to create and bring culture, wellbeing, and vitality to our Northern region.
