Senior Researcher, D.Soc.Sc., MEcon.

Presentation

I work as a senior researcher at the Centre for Cultural Policy Research (CUPORE). My main areas of expertise include local cultural policy, third sector organisations, financing arts and culture, art and cultural institutions and artist policy. I am interested in interdisciplinary research and the development of new methods.

My dissertation Does sector matter? Plural characteristics and logics in third sector festival organisations was completed in spring 2019. In the dissertation I examine third sector arts and cultural festival organizations from the sectoral perspective, especially focusing on the phenomenon of hybridization/marketization.

I have been the chairman of the Cultural Policy Research Society since 2022. In the years 2020–2022, I was the editor-in-chief of the Cultural Policy Research Yearbook (Kulttuuripolitiikan tutkimuksen vuosikirja).
