I work as a senior researcher in Helsinki. My research interests include international, comparative cultural policies, intergovernmental organizations (EU, Council of Europe, UNESCO), education in arts and culture, children and youth culture, media education, cultural heritage policies, and the knowledge base of cultural policies. I have also actively worked in the development, administration and communications activities of our research center. During 2019-2023 I acted as Cupore’s vice-director.  I am currently the Finnish expert in the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends –network and member of the Board of the Compendium Association. I am also a member of the Finnish National Commission for UNESCO (term 2023-2026). During 2017-2020 I worked as the subeditor of the Nordic Journal of Cultural Policy.

I hold an MA in Ethnology and M.Soc.Sc in Sociology (Master’s Programme in Cultural Policy) from the University of Jyväskylä. I have also studied Organization and Management at the Aalto University School of Economics. Before Cupore, I worked at the Master’s Programme in Cultural Policy at the University of Jyväskylä, as a researcher in a private cultural consultancy and in the library and information services of the cultural policy unit of the Council of Europe.
