The Foundation for Cultural Policy Research is laying off personnel
The Foundation for Cultural Policy Research is laying off the staff on economic and production grounds. Personnel will be furloughed for an estimated two months from May 1st 2024. The planned total duration of layoffs for Cupore’s operations is three months.
The reason for layoffs is the economic imbalance. The general rise in cost levels has strained the research center’s finances, while the general grant it receives has been cut. Support from other financiers has also decreased due to the general economic situation. The aim is to balance the finances and operations of the research center with layoffs and other adaptation measures carried out simultaneously.
Layoffs have an impact on project schedules. You can ask director Marjo Mäenpää Marjo.maenpaa@cupore.fi for more detailed information between May 1–June 3.
